It’s begging for music. “Why can’t we catch our tears and hold them”…reminds me of “how do you hold a moonbeam in your hand” (from Sound of Music)…but your line has the added depth of holding sadness. It makes me think of another song that describes the desire and challenges we all face in trying to connect (MEW, Behind the Drapes).
